Last Week, a teacher called Alex Godber from KGGS school in Grantham came to speak to one of our pupils who is moving there in September. David Attenborough's 100th Birthday

We celebrated this wonderful landmark by learning about our local wildlife. We looked at a wide variety of local moths, trapped by Mr Leonard. Releasing them and watching them fly off was also great fun. Then we had a wild flower treasure hunt, to open our eyes to the beautiful plants that are right under our noses, but often overlooked in corners of the field at the Village Hall. Lastly, we joined thousands of other children around the country for a special online assembly. Coincidentally, the picture of the moth on a wall (called a Chocolate-tip) represents the 100th moth species that we have recorded under the security light outside the Base 3 classroom!
