Parents/carers wishing to send their children to Scalford School are welcome to make an appointment with the Headteacher to view the school and talk to staff and pupils. We hold open afternoons in the Autumn term, but are happy to accommodate visits at any time of the year.
Parents/carers are required to apply online via the Leicestershire County Council website regardless of whether or not they live in the catchment area.
The Governing Body follows the Leicestershire agreed policy on admissions. The exact arrangements may vary slightly from year to year, so please consult the full policy documentation, a copy of which is held in school.
Further information can be found on the School Admissions page on the below link.
We are consulting to adopt the Learn-AT Admissions Policy for applications for first-time admissions in September 2025 and mid-year applications during the academic year 2025-26.
For midterm transfers, please apply via the Learn Academies Trust admissions portal at apply.learnat.uk. The school no longer processes midterm admissions through the Local Authority. If you have any questions or require assistance with your application, please contact the school office.
We fully participate in the Local Authority's coordinated admissions scheme. As per the School Admissions Code, all admitting authorities must aim to inform parents of their decision within 10 school days, and it is mandatory that a decision is communicated within 15 school days.
