Scalford Church of England Primary School

Always trying to do our best so that we can shine

Uniform Information

We believe that a school uniform encourages a sense of belonging and unique identity for our school children. We also like our pupils to dress smartly to show they have pride in their appearance.  Grey trousers, skirts, pinafore dresses and green summer dresses can be purchased from a variety of places including supermarkets.  PE shirts can be purchased from school, whilst stock lasts.  We also stock a wide range of good quality second hand school uniform.  Please contact the school office for further details.

Jewellery

Please note, children will be responsible for their own jewellery at all times. If earrings are worn they must be a small stud type. Children will need to remove jewellery including earrings, before PE lessons, sports activities and swimming.

Please ensure all items are named

It is important that children wear sensible, flat shoes. This is because they have to walk to and from the village hall every day. Slip on shoes or ballerina style are therefore not appropriate.

Stockists

Named Bags

Base One

Pupils may bring a small rucksack to school to carry their PE kits, as this is much easier for them to carry than the traditional draw string PE bags.

Base Two and Three

Pupils should bring a draw string bag to school to carry their PE kit.

Coats

Should be smart. A warm coat is recommended for the winter months, preferably with a fitted hat (to prevent losing hats). We also recommend a light waterproof coat during the warmer months as our British weather is so unpredictable and the children do walk up to the village hall every day, regardless of the ‘majority’ of the weather (except in exceptional circumstances).
