Huge congratulations to our Sky Theatre team who danced so brilliantly they qualified for the finals next week! They also won the award for the best outfits!
As always, our first day back after half term was Messy Fiesta! Our theme was the Christian value of 'thankfulness'. We linked this to Mother's Day, which is just around the corner. The children took part in 4 different activities, in their house groups - but we can't say much more as some of it involves surprises...
Base 1 had a great trip to Oakham where they learnt all about the castle, had a chance to dress up and do some craft activities.
Y6 visited Belvoir Priory Academy in Bottesford today to watch their production of 'The Wizard of Oz'. Here we are waiting for the show to begin!
Base 3 visit Leicester
The children have had a great day exploring Leicester and learning about its history.
They started 2000 years ago at the Jewry Wall Museum, a site of some Roman baths. They then walked to the Guildhall and on about 1000 years through history to discover what buildings from the Middle Ages were like.
They then strolled around the centre of Leicester, through the market and past a few landmarks, before finishing at the Cathedral and the tomb of Richard III. Phew!
