Keep up to date with all the latest news happening in school at the moment.
Year 1 have been learning to chop. They designed and made fruit snacks for a class picnic. Reception have been learning and practising scissor skills.
Thank you to everyone who came along to our Christingle Service. This is a favourite with children and staff. The Year 6 children ran the entire service this year and what a good job they did. We particularly loved their singing. 34 days until Christmas!
Base 1 went on a lovely walk around the village today as part of their Geography learning. We were looking for human features and physical features in our surroundings.
THANK YOU! We've almost raised £100 for Children in Need today. We've abandoned uniform, we've had spotty faces, we've brought in teddies and we've eaten cake! A lovely day raising money for a very worthy cause.
Many thanks to the families and friends who joined us in church for our Remembrance Service.
Tenner Challenge - WINNERS!
The Year 6 children have been busy accounting and today Mrs Wrightam picked raffle winners.
Congratulations to Elaina who won Jack's very popular raffle and goes home with a huge basket of goodies today! It'll come as no surprise that Jack was our champion fundraiser, making a whopping £54 profit!
Congratulations to Billy, who has won Ellis's teddy after correctly guessing that its name was Richard!
Congratulations to Mrs Riley, whose guess was closest to the correct number of jelly beans in Thomas's jar.
Congratulations to Dave Cave, who won Harvey's raffle prize.
Lastly, a huge well done to the Y6 children who managed to raise £220!
Messy Fiesta - 'Hope'
As usual, we returned after the Half Term break and plunged straight into a wonderful off-timetable day, working in our House groups. The theme of this Messy Fiesta was 'Hope' and the children took part in a wide variety of activities to explore this. We listened to stories, learnt a song, made a collage, thought about our future careers, and even made decorations for the upcoming Christmas Tree Festival. It was a fantastic day.
After our lovely Celebration Service, the Y6 children ran their Tenner Challenge stalls in church. This business enterprise activity loans each child £10 to invest in a project that will then hopefully make money for their special day out in the summer term. It was a great success and all the stalls did a brisk trade in the church. Well done Year 6! Our first maths lesson after half term will be accounting to determine just how much profit we have made.
Base 1 have been on a walk around the village looking for signs of autumn, It was a beautiful day and we found so many different things to look at!
Harvest Service - here are our Base 1 children singing in the church for our Harvest Service. Thank you to the many parents who came and supported us.
