The children in Base 2 and 3 visited Leicester Cathedral and The New Walk Museum to compare and contrast different places of worship.
They spent the morning in the Cathedral where their regular RE lesson took place. Base 3 studied the war memorial followed by an independent task. Base 2 studied the stories represented on the beautiful stained glass windows, acted out one of the stories, made prayer bracelets and visited the tomb of King Richard the Third.
After a beautiful walk through the centre of Leicester, the children visited the Diwali Exhibition at the Museum before travelling home along Leicester's Golden Mile seeing the festival of lights that light the way in celebration of Diwali.
